First class SYD-HKG update - So it's been a number of days since we've all found out QFi is dropping the A380 and First class from this segment.

Propofol88, if you read his initial comments not only wants but expects service,given his flying first and paid big bucks his rightfully entitled to a not only a call but genuine respect from Qantas that is sadly lacking.Everyone of you would be pissed if the situation stated happened to you.Give me a break, and if SQ is an option its far better than any othering at least to him.

It's a free country and I have no qualms with people speaking their mind, whether or not they agree with me or not. I'm just displeased (along with many others) with the way QF is heading these days, and this latest move is the last straw for me. I work hard and long hours and make a very good living, and travelling overseas at my leisure in premium classes at my own expense (not at the taxpayers or the company's) is one of many ways I enjoy life. As Robert points out, I pay good money for this and my business undoubtedly goes to the airline that gives the best customer care.

At TRB, yes to the majority of people it would seem an unjustifiable expense for a short trip, but to each his/her own. I would baulk at someone who demands to charter a private jet to fly an hour long trip b/t Sydney and Melbourne, but I know people who do at a great cost on their own money. There's a lot of rich bashing these days, but if you make it IMO you are entitled to spend it how matter you please. FYI, I'm an American now living in Australia. It would be nice if I could be that Russian Oligarch :D
