When did Qantas start charging for wine on domestic economy flights?
I was on QF662 ADL - BNE on 28 May & QF665 BNE-ADL on 1 June and they were charging $6 for a bottle of wine. It doesn't affect me because I can't drink but I was wondering if anyone knew when this happened? I haven't flown Qantas in a while but I have never heard of them charging for it.

to my knowledge/memory....at least 10years (conservatively)...the current pay versus non pay schedule can be found on QANTAS.COM > Fly > Onboard > Inflight Dining > Domestic > Domestic Economy

For something like 10 years as suggested above, they've only offered complimentary wine/beer in Y after 4PM on weekdays...

And its only been Complimentary on CityFlyer services on Weekdays after 4PM. - although the CityFlyer terms seems to have been dropped.
So SYD-MEL on Sat = Pay, SYD-CNS on Mon-Fri = Pay
CityFlyer is basically Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, although believe some services to Darwin are also classified that way.
Think it is also on Perth to East Coast after 12pm (given it is 3pm on the East Coast)

Domestically they have been charging for alcohol as long as I can remember, and that goes back more than ten years.
As noted, they started introducing it as a complimenary feature on some routes at certain times about ten years ago.
There is a table on the Qantas website that outlines this

Also Qantas Link provides free alcohol after 4pm weekdays also - so it is basically across the QF network.
