I am looking at getting a penthouse for one night in the Sydney CBD or eastern suburbs as I am hosting a buxs night. I was looking at Meriton but I am conscious of the "no party policies", any suggestions?
Thank You in advance

Try the Diamant hotel in Kings Cross... not sure what "penthouse' they have, but they are in Kings X, so might be suitable...

Good luck with that - neither property will permit parties particularly in their premium rooms.

If you are planing on having the party in the room I dont think your party will last too long! I have been told to keep it down with just 3 people having a drink certianly no party, first time was a phone call second time a knock on the door basicly saying stop all noise now (in a polite way). This was at the Hilton Sydney. I assume most if not all hotels in Sydney will not tollerate a full on pary.

If you want to have a party, hire a party venue. If you want to sleep, get a hotel room. Not many hotels will be willing to let you host a buck's (note spelling) party in a hotel room, for obvious reasons.
