(For what it's worth, I've done SIN-MEL in suites class thanks to a United points booking and a rather convenient cancellation of my original Thai flight, and it was pretty nice, but the moment you realise you've crossed the line from "really nice seat" to "really crummy hotel room" it loses its appeal.)
I am looking at flying in the next week to LHR from SYD OR BNE.As a plat with QF i do not give an ass about points.Has any person done Sinagapore Airlines Suites to London recently and what should i expect.A better service. As i can do Net Jets but are on no strict schedual is under 20 gnd an option.
I am shore i will do SQ to LHR.On my return from LHR to OZ. I wish to fly another carrier other than QF who i fly most, and bad mouth. Is cathay a way to go or Korea airlines.
The long answer is that they're both at the top of the game, so it's often decided by other factors, e.g. travel policy, your preferred alliance, award availability, your preferred hub, etc. etc.
Naturally, both are better than Korean, though to its credit Korean has come out of its Dark Ages, and hasn't crashed a passenger plane since 1997. Also, there's much less risk than before of being shot down by Soviet interceptors.
I fly SQ A380 suites class to HK and they truly are a class above First. If you google SQ suites reviews or go on YouTube there are quite a few videos to watch. The things I enjoy about SQ First/Suites are the incredibly helpful and attentive Asian service by the FAs. They always anticipate what I want and are proactive. I love the caviar they serve and the Dom Perignon/Krug champagne. The Private Lounge in Changi is not the same level as the QF First lounge but it certainly does the job. Hope this helps.

SQ Suites is very good. There are a lot of trip reports on them. Go on FlyerTalk and look 'em up.
Fly out of SYD and get Suites. It's worth the flight down from BNE.

I'd actually argue that Cathay is superior to SQ but can definitely agree that they're both of better quality than Korean

CX > KE > SQ (putting soft product to mind too - SQ's Suites bed may be big but it's damn uncomfortable - trust me, i tried...)
