Does anyone know if any of the SQ B777-300 ER flying to/from Australia already have the new F/J cabins? Which routes they are currently on at the moment? And what routes they'll be on towards the end of the year?
I'll be flying from SYD to HKG via SIN towards the end of the year, and have half of the flights in the B777-300 ER. Would be awesome if they happened to have the new F class cabin! :)

The B77WN is not on scheduled service to Australia or Hong Kong at present.

No, they only operate to/from London on SQ318/SQ319 plus one flight a day to Tokyo, presumably just to fill the schedule wilst waiting to operate the London flight.
5 more (I think) new a/c are due, but doubt they will be on routes to Australia on a regular basis and the renewal of the older ones will start next year. My guess is the next batch of new ones will see SQ305/306 to/from London converted. Then in time when the older -300ERs are updated they will appear elsewhere on the network.
Flying one in 3.5 weeks time to London. Right down the back in economy class though, and I mean right down the back. The flight is chokkas.

Hi Propofol88,
ALW sure is in the know and correct at that!..with the occasional JKT in the mix too. Depending on your fare type, if you can swing the following combination, then you'll have a better ride to/from HKG:
SQ 232 Sydney to Singapore. Why? great A380 product, compared to the SQ212, (a refitted but older 773 with a reclining lie-flat seat and less comprehensive entertainment system than the 773ER or A380.) You'll also have more time to enjoy SQ's great new lounge in SYD and HKG on the way back , which should be open by then. Check out the SQ "book-the-cook" meal service which is on their website. for a selection of pre-ordered meals by their international chef panel. (..and no I don't work for SQ, I just know from experience...)
For the return flights, try and obtain the SQ861 and SQ221 combination for an all-A380 ride home.
Have a great trip. Cheers.

Thanks for the feedback fellas!
I'm flying in December on SQ 232 (A388), spending a night in Singapore before taking SQ 866 (will be a B777-300ER then). On the return, SQ 1 (B777-300ER) then SQ 221 (A388). The only problem with SQ861 is the connecting time is very tight, and I'd like to spend a bit of time in the Private Lounge relaxing! Looks like I won't be experiencing the new 777 F cabin, but that's alright - the current offering is an impeccable product!
Regarding "Book the Cook" - I've had that a few times already. Nothing above and beyond what they normally serve on the plane IMO. I like a surprise now and again to see what ground catering has to offer :)
