Is there any way to work out which qantas planes will be used on the Per to Melb route eg i know you can see if its a A33x B737X etc but anyway to tell if it has an upgraded cabin in business. sometimes i get a bed sometimes i get a slightly larger old reclining seat. cheers

Unfortunately it is a bit of a lucky dip especially with the A330-200. They frequently change the type of plane especially with the A332 on short notice and closer to the time of flight.

thanks driley28, i did think that was the case, the other week we got an international A330-200 so had nice flat beds with massages and twice as much room, then the way back it was the usual old reclining chair with half the room and the chair in the middle with a table on!
thanks

I agree with your complaint, but I should point out the irony that the newer of the two planes/business class cabins is the A330-200 with reclining seats. Most of them are just a few years old, one brand new last year.
