How do you book a Qantas Flexi domestic business fare Vs regular business fare? There is no facility to do so on the Qantas web page.
And in turn receive the post July 01 additional status credits

What do you mean about the status credits?

turnleft,
If the Qantas domestic fare you're booking is 'Business Sale' or 'Business Saver', it earns at the standard 'Business' rate.
If it's one of the more flexible fares, it'll appear as 'Business' when booking online, and earns at the 'Flexible Business' rate.

Chris,
I booked a return SYD-CBR fare today. When I booked, both legs showed up as "Business", not as Sale or Saver, however one booked as a C class and the other as D. One gets Flexible Business SCs and the other doesn't. My call to QF confirmed that the website functionality doesn't include a way of telling and they offered me the ability to "upgrade" the class of the D leg over the phone.

Hmm, that's interesting PK.
I've had a look, and indeed all Sydney-Canberra domestic fares appear as the Business 'fare type', which actually matches to the Flexible Business 'frequent flyer category' on the earning table... I'll have to dig into this!

Brisbane>Sydney also 'seemed' to be Flexible Business but posted as 80 SC, not 90SC. As I mentioned no way to select between Flexi and non-flexi business. I have an upcoming Brisbane> Melblourne - same thing.

Had the same problem as you too. I couldn't find the flexible business class fares to reap the full SCs. What I ended up doing was simply calling up QF call centre - the booking charge is waived if you have gold/platinum status and booking in business class. Piece of cake! :)

turnleft, you can always book it with a travel agent and request specific booking inventory. Or make booking via the Qantas call centre. Although you will then be liable for fees and charges.

FWIW, have a look at the fare classes in ITA Matrix (http://matrix.itasoftware.com/), note the flight numbers and use those flight numbers to book through the QF website. Fare buckets can be found at http://www.qantas.com.au/fflyer/dyn/program/classTypes. Hope this helps....

There is a GreaseMonkey script on AFF that pulls the actual code and displays it/
But mostly based on price.
eg. near dated SYD-CBR $679 fares are J, $549 fares are D, and $609 is C
on SYD-BNE $696 is I, $810 is D, $900 is C
However you are correct in that if a cheaper fare bucket is available, there is no way on the Qantas website to book the more expensive earning fare.
