Im not sure however the JQ 787's have been taking over many routes in a fairly quick timespan and they cant keep using the a330 forever. Obviously the a320/321 cant make the distance so JQ has 2 options - stop the route and route pax through SYD (would still need 787 for SYD-HNL) or upgrade it to a 787 in conclusion I would say we will see JQ 787's roaming between MEL and HNL in the not to distant future. Sorry i couldnt give an exact date.

JQ 787 to HNL? Just wondering if anyone knows where MEL-HNL might be served by the Jetstar 787's?
