I'm a QF Platinum frequent flyer so travel quite a bit - although I do make use of the double status credits and creative booking routes to make up a few extra points here and there so wouldn't be flying anywhere near as much as other Platty's and rarely any business class.

I'm wondering, with that amount of status credits and flying each yeah, and Qantas looking at chopping some of its routes to be replaced with JQ - What would be the most logical airline membership to change to (if any), and are there any easy ones to get into without necessarily having to qualify from scratch again?

Could always do a double Gold split between QFF and Velocity. Still get a lot of the same perks as Platinum ie lounge access, baggage, seat selection etc. 

You also mentioned about routes being replaced by JQ. Given VA's consistent branding/product across their route network, you wont have the issue of switching between QF/JQ, all flights will be on VA. 

Would also help to know where you fly the most. Domestic? International? If so, what regions? Etihad have had two status matches with QF in the last year or so, so if Europe is a frequent destination they could be an option.

Im based in Phnom Penh which restricts things a little, but do a PNH-SIN-MEL return about once a month/6 weeks (usually JQ/QF combo), then one or two more PNH-BKK, or PNH-SIN trips each month, and maybe one MEL-LAX or LHR each year. Not many big trips but all the 10, 20, and 30 status creds add up for sure!
I did see that Etihad status match but probably not much use to me to be honest.

I do LOVE the first class lounge access in MEL/SYD though haha.

Since you're based in the region, it makes more sense for you to join the CX Marco Polo club. But it depends on your travel patterns and class of travel. QFF is really only useful, in my opinion if you travel domestically on Qantas.
