Easy way to find seats availability. I like to book classic award in business from BKK to MEL. When I look at Qantas website seats in business available, but with "i" - i.e. "Your flight from Bangkok to Sydney will be in economy". WTF? How I can search "true" business when I happy to fly SYD-MEL in economy but mail leg in business without clicking on each and every date? Any clue?
Using aa.com is a good way of finding award availability on QF flights, one month a time. Unfortunately there doesn't appear to be any available business class award seats for the QF BKK-SYD route for the next year. This method though doesn't pick up extra award availability for those with status nor availability on EK flights.
I do not understand your answer. My problem is: when I look at QF website trying to search for business it returns that seats are available on monthly view. However when you click on particular day you discover that "business" means economy from BKK to SYD and business from SYD to MEL (totally anal system). Obviously I do not care if it is economy or business from SYD to MEL, but I like to have business from BKK to SYD. How I can find easy enough if and when those seats available?
The website classifies any leg of any multi leg trip in business as a business flight that is why it is showing availability on the monthly view. Bottom line if it isn't showing the BKK-SYD leg available in business when looking at a specific date there isn't a rewards business seat available
Serg, have you tried using FlightStats? If you sign up for a free account you can view each day's inventory by fare class.
I've had similar problems looking for SYD-SIN in Classic Award, and reading messages like "Your flight from Melbourne to Singapore will be in Economy" grate me.

Hi Serg, have you simply tried doing a search for BKK - SYD only to bypass your issue?
