Best and most cost effective routes for Sydney to Toronto, I have found very good price $3000 AUD for business with Cathay from Tokyo to Toronto, but I would be open to any suggestions for an alternative route and/or cheap flights to Tokyo with maximum 1 stop, business or economy would be fine.

I know Jetstar do from the Gold Coast to Tokyo , not too sure of the cost , but I guess it would be cheap and it's a Boeing 787 so there is a bonus.

JQ also fly MEL and CNS to NRT

Have you tried Skyluxtravel.com? Im looking at SYD-YYZ in December and its currently $4130 return in Business, pretty sure its on Air China

I believe Skyluvtravel.com offer cheap flights using frequent flyer points (God knows where they plunder points/miles from!), which is questionable in its legality.

More importantly you do not get to accrue mileage on such flights. Imagine spending over $4,000 with no frequent flyer mileage/points to speak off. Poor choice in my opinion.

I would be extremely cautious about procuring flights from such sources.

Hi Dave. I've been looking at the exact same route for the last few weeks and also found Cathay via Tokyo and HK to be the cheapest. To get to Tokyo I'm looking at either PE with qantas or business class with jetstar as the prices are essentially the same. Safe travels.
