Some advice if possible. I will be travelling to the states for just under 2 weeks for a work conference. I was hoping some one could give some advice on the best pre paid sim card to buy to use over there. Basically just need the ability for the Australian team to contact me if needed and have some data to check mails etc over there. Many thanks
T-Mobile have an unlimited international option also for $US10/month. It provides unlimited international calls (only to landlines, not mobile) and text. The only catch is that you need to take the basic $50 unlimited US-wide plan to be eligible for the $10 international add-on. I do it, as I get full value and then some from the international add-on even for muck less than a month. You keep your number forever too.

Depends how long the conference goes for. Last time I was there, T-Mobile had a pretty good deal. It was unlt'd everything for $3 per day, prepaid.

Thanks for the reply RealKid. I will be there for about 9 days. I think that T-Mobile deal would suit really well. Thanks again

I too recommend the T-mobile option. Actually if you have a 4G capable phone you can pay $3 a day for unlimited talk & data
