I am looking at doing one off donation of QF FFpoints to a charity.Initially i was told by the QF Plat call center i can donate points to a charity of my choice, then on a second call i was given conflicting info suggesting i can not. While await a response from QF corporate which on past experiences can take time.Has anyone had an experience in this area.

Use your points to save off air fares, then whatever you saved donate directly to a charity. You and the charity will get far more value (not to mention the tax deduction aspect).

Everyone's is entitled to their opinion. 29k QFF points donated to Unicef transform into a measly 250 dollar donation.
29k QFF points are 90% return SYD-MEL in J. The value of which is about 1300 dollars. For argument's sake, let's say that's about a thousand dollar in savings.
That thousand dollars donated to any charity (or any family member who's in need) is far more useful.
Unless the balance is of no use and the points are expiring soon, then the highlighted approach above is the best way to go.

Firstly well done Robert,
however I would like to see all expired FF points or their value donated to charity by the airlines .
