One way business from cdg to mel with a flat bed jan 15? I am flying elderly in laws in jan. Very flexible but need a bed each. Have plenty qff points but to soon and ? Limited transfer of points per year. Most airlines about 2500 euros. Any cheaper options?

QFF points in January aren't doing you much good. Can you move it out to February? FF seat availability opens up.

Can I book flights for them if I am not travelling with them, or can I transfer enough points ?

Yes, you can book flights for family using your own points.

There are 2x seats CDG-DXB-MEL business all the way on Emirates/Qantas departing 31 december. Can't go wrong with that! 128k QFF points each, bookable online.

There are also 2x seats on Qatar Airways on 28 Jan at 139k QFF pp. To book that do a multi city search CDG-DOH 28 Jan, DOH-MEL 29 Jan.
For either options you book using your own points from your account. You don't need to transfer the points to use them.

Did I read that right? MEL to CDG return in business class on QR is 139,000 QF points per person!?
That seems excitingly low. I always thought QF was 128,000 points return to anywhere in the world return and 40,000 points for anywhere in Australia (both economy).
Perhaps I should re-visit my maths.
