Is Qantas flying the config 747s to HK? I am travelling on the J class late of Nov and would like to know if it is different to what I had in the a380s. Cheers.

The idea is that it's to be flown by the newer frames with the fully-flat J, but you might luck out and cop an older frame with angled-flat J.

Fly CX and get a guaranteed flat bed with direct aisle access! :)

Only if I have extra money, somehow flying business with QF is cheaper than CX.

My recent flights SYD-HKG return were all on the B747 planes. All business seats were fully flat beds. Have to admit that I was a bit disappointed that the plane changed only days before my flight! But overall, the crew/plane was what you'll expect. Only 1 issue, the entertainment system was faulty on the way back from HKG, so it was a very quiet and long return flight back to SYD.

No worries Adrian! I was in the nose of the plane, it felt very private and all. There were more room to move around and if travelling with friends, great place to mingle as well. Only downfall was that the bathrooms were down the back of the business section. Some will argue that upper deck is more private, I guess it's personal preference!
