I know this has been done to death, but I was wondering if anyone had any more info on the Qantas a330 refresh. I'm booked from Sydney to Perth in late December on flight 569 and was wondering what the chances of getting the updated plane were.
The seatmap shows the old config, have the seatmap for the new planes loaded yet?
new layouts not loaded yet....and given your late Dec travel time... I wouldnt hold my breath as 1 refit a/c will be online at that time and the east/west schedule comprises at least 15 services per day (from MEL SYD BNE)
RealKid: all that Qantas has shared to date is that the domestic launch will be late December and on an 'east coast to Perth' route. So as long as you and Qantas have the same 'late December' dates there's some chance you will be on the first newly-upgraded A330.
I looked up that registration and it seems like VH-EBV has still been flying around as of yesterday. How long would the retrofits take one of the planes out of commission for, do you reckon?

They haven't said at all yet whether it'll be a Sydney service, a Melbourne service, or a mix yet, have they?

For those who are interested...
I believe (not 100% certain) that VH-EBV will be the first refurbished aircraft.
