Upgrading partner (together) - 1. Is there any way to request an upgrade for yourself and a partner (who are on separate bookings) such that you would only accept the upgrade if both get upgraded together?
(I *think* that if I don't select "register me for upgrade at the airport", I can turn down an upgrade, so that might be how I could avoid only one person being upgraded??)
2. How strict is the "you can only upgrade an eligible family member"? If you say this person is your de facto partner, how do they check? Have people got experience with just upgrading friends who are totally unrelated?
