Flew QF in F a few months ago. Service was impeciable. British QF flight attendants used from DXB - LHR, LHR - DXB and DXB - MEL. Food out of SYD and LHR was good. Food out of DXB was average, but the EK lounge was great.

Flew in June both QF and EK. My personal flavour:
privacy better on ek
seat/ bed better on QF
food better on ek
wine except champagne better on ek
champagne better on QF
shower on ek is awesome if you can book last spot before landing
staff better on QF more personable
entertainment better on ek
overall I would choose QF for the bed and the crew.
hope this helps!

I've flown J class on their A380 and this isn't in your preferances but honestly I prefer Singapore by far. They have so much space and for someone who's 6ft + It's a bit uncomfertable in Emirates compared to Singapore Airlines but they all have their differences.

Have flown first on Emirates SYD -LHR on A380, I found the crew on both legs to be fantastic and personable. Moet was served upon boarding and Dom Perignon after take-off. Food and drink menu is extensive and appealing. The best part of Emirates aircraft is the personal space in private suites and the showers on board.

Thanks everyone - much appreciated. Still have no idea which one to choose, but think I will end up tossing a coin!
