Twice when I've flown back from London, I've had the 3/4 Business and 1/4 economy on the top deck.

Did it show the correct aircraft on the seat map?

SQ flies two 380s to London- SQ322 which is the layour with the little Economy section on the upper deck, and SQ308 which is the other layout- an all-Business Class upper deck.
If you are flying in Economy, I'd recommend taking SQ322 and picking a seat in the upper deck- the seating configuration there is 2-4-2 as compared to 3-4-3 in the lower deck. It feels more private and there is no pricing difference for picking the upper deck.

Yeh I was looking for the one with the economy upper deck section but due to timing I am forced to fly SQ308

It's not too bad on the lower deck either- it's Singapore Airlines afterall!
The thousands movies in Kris World or a cocktail like a singapore sling might make the journey more pleasant if that's any consolation :)

Well I am tossing up SQ or CX through from BNE to LHR due to the daytime flights

Personally I prefer SQ because of their crew.. always consistent and top-notch. but that's just me
