Singapore Airlines PPS - I routinely bank the points and status credits pf my flights on SQ into VA Velocity, but upon checking my Kris Flyer account earlier today I noticed that I have earned a substantial number of PPS dollars as well. I wasn't aware you could earn both points/SC with VA and PPS dollars with SQ simultaneously. I don't even list my Kris Flyer number on my SQ bookings (I guess they must use my number and DOB on the booking?)!

Has any one else noticed this before? This is great! Not only am I maintaining Platinum with VA but I will be a PPS club member this year! :)

Well done! Have a glass of Krug champagne to celebrate.

...and don't talk about it too loudly lest they notice. *gasp*

Krisflyer points and PPS Dollars are sept seperate. PPS Dollars are based on the amount of $$ spent on SQ (in Business and First). While you are crediting your SQ flights to VA, the PPS Club dollars are being held seperately in you KF account.

Enjoy being a PPS Club memeber and keep it up for 5 years and you will reach Solitaire...!

I was surprised that they let you double dip - something nearly all FFPs don't allow - imagine QF letting u earn SC while you do the same with CX or AA. Furthermore, the benefits of PPS club exceed that of Star Alliance Gold.

I meant to say "I guess they must use my name and dob"... Otherwise I'm not sure how they link my bookings with KF. I go through an agent sometimes and only tell them my VA number!

PPS Solitaire?! That's a lot of spend in a 5 yr period. Probably not going to happen. I have quite a few overseas conferences in Asia and Europe this year and flying SQ. Unlikely I'd keep PPS status the following year. Will enjoy sipping the Krug and Dom Perignon while I can! ;)
