I am doing a very short business trip from Melbourne to Southampton in a couple of weeks. Unfortunately my employer will spring for premium economy but not business.
Anyway, I'm heading out on QF9, but returning on QF2 and connecting in SYD because of better timings.
As a Diners Club cardholder, I can get into either of the Servisair or No 1 Traveller lounges at LHR T3. On a Wednesday evening prior to the 21:15 QF2 departure, can anyone recommend either one as preferable? If it comes down to proximity to my departure gate, is there a regular zone of gates that QF2 and QF10 use?

The lounges LHR T3, with the exception of the Emirates Louge, are mostly set away from departure gates. So it's much of a muchness. Either way you will need to walk a fair bit to get to the departure gates.

Both the Servisair and No1 Traveller lounges are in Lounge Area F, which is also where you'll find the BA lounges QF recommends to it's customers.
QF Flights usually depart from Gate 1, but can be allocated 1,3,5 or 7 all in the same pier, as these are the only A380 capable gates in Terminal 3. If you're really unlucky, you may get gate 42, but this is only if the other 4 are all occupied.
Zone F Lounges are only 5 minutes walk to gate 7, and less than 10 minutes to gate 1.
