Does anyone think CX will bring the 4 class configs to SYD on the CX139/138 777 service? Also do you think they will start to replace the remaining A330 services with 777's in the near future? I do love the A330's though!

I don't see any reason to. The 77G on the day flight to SYD (returning as the redeye) doesn't actually have that many more seats than the 33G. CX is very keen on having a completely consistent product so I don't think it's likely they'll introduce F on selected services lest it mess up their schedule.

It would be nice to have F to Syd again but I agree with watson, 77H only has 30 or so more seats compared to a 33G.

I don't see CX bringing F to Australia.
However, I disagree with Watson. My understanding is that CX flies their 3 class A330's to Sydney (seats 242). By bringing in a 777-300 (w/o first) they increase seats by 98 (seats 340). That's a sizeable increase - around 10% daily (or just under the equivalent of 3 extra A330 services a week).
Without an increase in CX's rights into Australia, their only option will be to swap A330's to 777's.
Meanwhile, QF serves HKG with a single daily flight, to a market which should really be double daily.

Memory fail on my part. The J and W capacity is maginally greater but the Y increase is substantial.

When they do that it would be like in inter asia where the service is Business Class but the seat is first
They normally assign based on OW status
