To provide a little more info, I've tried doing this online, but get the message 'the requested cabin is not available for one or more flights' when I add the infant - works fine when inputting 1 x adult only.  And please, not wanting this to turn into a debate about the etiquette of travelling with children in J or F (I know that this issue is polarising for some people), just after some advice :)

Quite possibly there is only one seat available for classic awards.

Had to travel separately to Mrs and Miss 11sjw late last year / early this year for a Classic J award into CX.  A few dummy attempts showed that only two seats were available for that cabin when booked (app 360 days out). Thankfully offering flat bed seats offset the "You two will be travelling without me" issue!! :-)

Sorry should've added that the CX flights were booked through QFF.

Why bother. My son slept fine in the bassinet the till 24 months. At least he was locked in and couldn't escape. Now we have a trip on cx in j and he has his own seat.  I am dreading it, have you seen what a 3 year old can do to noise cancelling headphones in under 15 seconds?  If u are serious about booking your angel a seat perhaps you should call qantas?

an infant in first would turn heads, at the very least!

I read some time ago that Etihad's A380 service will include a specially trained hosty that works as a nanny. I wonder if that doubles as a day care service?
