Fortunate enough to be flying Emirates F class Rome to Perth late in year. Booking for two on Qantas classic awards points. Will we get access to Emirates First lounge in Dubai?

Does not matter how you got ticket - for money or for points. It is still full ticket with all perks included.

Absolute best thing in the First Lounge at DXB is the fresh fruit platter.  Fill your boots.

If you are booked on a Boeing 777 from Dubai to Perth then your flight will depart from concourse B of Terminal 3. If you are on the A380 flight then it will depart from concourse A. Be aware that most reviewers suggest the concourse A First Class Lounge is better than the one in concourse B, and that you can use either lounge but need to allow time to shuttle between the concourses which are actually separate buildngs. I've only experienced the concourse A lounge, which occupies an entire floor of the building and offers spa/massage (ask on arrival) and a la carte dining at a pretty good standard. I found the decor a little overbearingly dark-wood-panelled and gold-trimmed, and I prefer the Qantas Sydney First Lounge, but that's just personal taste. Enjoy!

Just to add...May 1 and after, EK420 will depart from concourse A since it will then be operated by an A380.

Enjoy Rob. The massive EK First lounge at Concourse A has to be seen to be believed! You can even get a haircut done at the spa (just note the options are more restrictive than a Qantas First spa menu at MEL/SYD).
