Hi all,
A quick one for those in the know. I have my parents flying J&Y from MEL to HKG with Qantas connecting through to London with BA in F. What baggage allowance will be applied at check in at Melbourne. Im unsure if the larger F allowance will be applied. Many thanks for any input.

Are the flights both on the one ticket, or were they booked separately?
If the former, BA's checked baggage rules should apply under the 'most significant carrier' policy, and if the latter, they'll have to pack within the confines of the lowest checked baggage policy, which I imagine would be the business class flight.
Also note that if they have Qantas Gold or Platinum status, they'll be entitled to an additional baggage allowance on Qantas and possibly on BA also, depending on the ticket: New Oneworld benefits for Qantas Gold, Platinum frequent flyers

If all segments are booked and ticketed by BA, log into your booking on the BA website, where information about baggage allowance will be available. Most Significant Carrier (MSC) rules would apply i.e. the BA baggage allowance will apply.
