Will I be travelling on a newly configured Qantas A330 when I go from SYD - SIN , QF5 12 April ?

At the moment the seatmap is showing an unrefurbished A330-300 but then so did my last MEL-SIN flight until about 48 hours prior to departure. So while I wouldn't count on it, I wouldn't rule it out either. 

Umm - thankyou - I thought Singapore was to be totally new configured but looks like only the busier morning flight is for the time being, shame, but as you say I might get lucky. Cheers.

Right at the moment there is only a single A330-300 refurb in service (VH-QPA) - It is mostly flying QF35/36/81/82 effectively every 2nd day.

The next refurb is due out with the next two weeks (VH-QPC) and most likely will make QF35/36/81/82 a guaranteed pattern (subject to last minute subs)

Then you have VH-QPB which is also undergoing refurb but won't be complete until the latter part of April. This might get scheduled on QF5/6.

I can say, The reason you might not get the refurb is because QF 52 (SIN-BNE) it the refurb QF A330 (I'm on board) and the seat selection is the new J, so the APRIL 12th flight may be to melbourne instead... but this may be subject to change as always.

In refurb now= VH-QPB (flying end April), -QPC (23rd March), -QPD (painting)

Not Done= VH-QPE, -QPF, -QPG, -QPH, -QPI, -QPJ

A330-200's

Done= VH-EBA, -EBV

In referb now= VH-EBJ

Not Done= VH-EBB, -EPC, -EBD, -EBG, -EBH (back to lessor), -EBI (back to lessor), -EBL, -EBM, -EBN, -EBO, -EBP, -EBR, -EBS. VH-EPC or VH-EBS is next for refurb.

With Jetstar= VH-EBE, -EBF, -EBK

Any ideas for April 8th QF35?
