They have expressed deep interest in A380s for Sydney and Melbourne so why not. It seems like they have the required PAX to make the route economical. And if you got the $$$$ you can be in the Residence for just the price of your car, and that is only oneway! I think it's around 100K for a couple doing return from London. But anyway I think they should and it will make EK work harder for their money, and the A380 will give Sydney and Melbourne more economic worth.

Thats a very open ended Question.
Does Etihad have the PAX demand for it? Is there a suitable business case for it? DO they have aircraft avilability for it? etc.

EK and Dubai are a big pain in the arse for Abu Dhabhi and EY doing flights to anywhere.
BTW, I found an article on AusBT about EY A380s coming to Sydney in July 2015. http://www.ausbt.com.au/etihad-to-fly-airbus-a380-to-sydney-from-june-1-2015

Yes, I had to scratch my head on this question. There has been much publicity that Etihad is flying the A380 out of SYD from 1 July 2015.
It'd be awfully nice if MEL got an A380 too (So far it'll just be a Dreamliner late this year) but you can always connect through SYD so I'll live.

It's amazing how many F and J seats are being pushed into SYD. Must be filling them pretty well.
