SYD lounge access?. I'm travelling QF international in J (QF and EY Gold) and my significant other is travelling EY international in Y (no status). Is there any way we can access the same lounge before our flights?
Best hope is that you have an AMEX card eligible for AMEX lounge access as both Qantas and Etihad specify that you must both be travelling on at least an alliance airline for Qantas and Etihad is even stricter (and Qantas and Etihad don't recognise each other).
You could always ask nicely but I'm not sure at all that you'll find favour. Tricky situation.
As suggested above, it's quite unlikely both of you will get access. However if one were desperate, one could purchase a fully flexible EY economy ticket, enter the lounge with your partner, then choose not to travel and exit the lounge (leaving your partner behind). But all this for lounge access... Seems irrational. I would not do this and suck it up instead at a cafe at the airport.

You can try to get your partner into the EY lounge on your EY Gold. I don't know if it'll work, though.

Be aware that their flat white comes in a mug.
