Any idea why there were 2 United 777 and a QF A380 parked off stand at BNE yesterday?

Any idea why there were 2 United 777 and a QF A380 parked off stand at BNE yesterday? I didn't think either aircraft type operated to BNE for these carriers.

Fog in Sydney caused diversions in the morning.

It will be interesting to see how many flights get diverted from the new Badgery's Creek airport when it begins operating, given that 1 in 3 mornings has heavy fog in the area. 

Easily solved with ILS, why do you think melbourne is the only catIII in Australia?

And yet many flights were diverted from Sydney due to fog, despite this technology. 

Sydney gets very little fog compared to BC. 

Still, it will get built in any case, just like the cruise terminal at White Bay (despite Barangaroo being the far better location). 

Um yes because sydney only has cat II ???

If that was the case they should just shut LHR down.

LGW is prone to severe fog too.

All London airprot get huge amounts of fog which is why there are on some occasions a fair few 747/a380 at Manchester.

Why?
