You can search available flights by selecting classic award & ticking 'show classic award cities' when searching on the QF website. Available fligths will show. Within Europe flights had really good availability when I was booking last year, but not sure on internal Asia flights. Flights to from Aust tend to be tough to get...but if a flight on CX is available it will normally show with the QF flights. You can also call QFF, but they will charge a fee (5,000 points I think) when you book.

CX can be seen online. MH you might need to call, but if you can convince the call centre that the inventory they can see cannot be seen online, you should be able to get them to waive the fee.

Frank,
You can find both MH and CX redemption availability using a BA Executive Club account.

Thanks to you all for sharing your knowledge, it is appreciated. One of the flights we need is a single journey PER/LON return in May, the other is PER/PAR/LON/PER in June/July for two. I recall a previous contributor stating that one of the call centres (MH from memory) may open an award booking for OW Platinum flyers. Which of the call centres do we call, those in KL or HK, or locally at home? Will also take a look at the BA Club.
