Your thoughts on the best (or better) economy seats on both Qantas and Emirates A380s with and without the extra legroom charge. Does 36K (QF) have a window and is it better than lower deck? Is 48 A (QF) cramped (door slide?) any knowledge on Emirates 52K?. I appreciate any experience or advice on these or any other seat recommendations pros and cons. (Obviously PE, J and F would be the best).

I should add flying SYD to LNDH (all QF) and return Paris to SYD, EM and QF(all via DUB).

Your best bet is to check out these seats on Seat Guru, it will give advice on your questions. I presume you mean LHR, EK and DXB rather than DUB as in Dublin.

Hello Chrisor thanks for your advice and reply, I have tried seatguru unfortunately it doesn't offer much except to say whether a seat is green, green/yellow, yellow or red (I do understand those descriptions) I was really looking for some reflections from experienced travellers which seatguru only has a few of, from those who have gone to the trouble to leave reviews. This is my first trip to Europe and I mistakenly thought that Aust BT readers may have more real life experience and been a little more forthcoming with advice. (I have been watching this site for some time) However it seems as if my concerns that there are many on this site who often critique (aka the $400.00 Emirates first class ticket) rather than assist and celebrate (the alternative audience / demographic as David may term it). But thank you for at least giving a reply to my question. And yes I did mean DXB as in Dubai and not Dublin (although one day I intend on going there as well).

Hi Goldie01, Sorry I couldn't be more helpful, but I'd definitely be looking at 36K over the lower deck if you can book that seat. I've not travelled in that section of the aircraft but as far as Y is concerned it would be the pick of the section to sit in. 52K on Emirates looks like a good seat, it has the extra legroom. All the best making your selection, enjoy Europe! There is a load of helpful advice on this site, don't give up!
