Hi Guys- im flying F from Mel to Akl next week and wanted to know what time boarding usually starts for an EK A380? Would love to pop into the QF first lounge before the flight which unfortunately opens at 615- 55 minutes before departure time.
Be careful delaying your timing to "basically any time until the plane departs", for you're likely to find that the gate is closed. The gate closes some time prior to the plane's departure.
There's no point in prolonging your stay in the Flounge to the point that you miss your flight. You're flying in F, so you'll get some nice treats as soon as you go aboard.

The Qantas First lounge in Auckland is nothing special, so you're better off sticking with the Emirates lounge.
In any case, boarding usually starts 40-minutes prior to departure.

My apologies... I appear to have misread your comment and believe you were flying AKL-MEL.
Hayden's comment below is accurate.

Although the QF First lounge in Melbourne is really good, and that is the airport you are departing from.
Becuase you are flying in F its basically any time until the plane departs. you should be able to get 40 minutes in the lounge beforehand

Thanks Hayden- If only the spa was open that early! 40 minutes should be enough for a couple of glasses of the Moet 2006. Thanks again for your advice
