Apologies for my ignorance as I know this comes up a lot, but does anyone know which of QFs 81 and 5 runs a refurbished aircraft? Or has it come to the stage where both use refurbished aircraft? Or does it depend on the day of the week? Is there any absolute way of checking? Thanks :)

More chance on QF81/82 based on recent history but not on every day, no routes are yet guaranteed with only 3 of the 12 A330-300s upgraded (third only went into service today)
Searching the upgraded aircraft (vh-qpa/qpb/qpc) on the theqantassources.com will give you a guide.
To check best is a subscription for expertflyer.com where you can view the seatmaps - but again these are only a guide, and substitutions do occur.
