According to Qantas, yes. However, in one of their press releases the rego of one of thew 747's being used has NOT yet been retrofitted. Hopefully the lovely folk at Qantas have worked this out by now...
They will likely aim for the refitted fleet, but given their increased utilisation of aircraft it may be hard for them to avoid occasionally rostering one of the older 744s onto say SYD-LAX. Somebody correct me if I am wrong but I seem to remember MEL-LAX only being possible on the ER 744s. If that's the case u are garuntee a refitted model. The only other route that needs the ER is SYD-SCL.
look at the seat map for your booking and compare it to the seat maps at Qantas.com or the theqantas source.com. That will tell you which aircraft is scheduled on your day should you be shifted onto a 744.

QF LAX Service - Change of equipment.
Does anyone know if the 747 replacing the A380 is the retrofitted model? Thank you.
