I'm flying QF2 out of LHR. Does the stop in Dubai allow you to disembark and freshen up in the lounge? Or am I stuck on the plane for 2+ hours? Usually I fly QF2 to Dubai then jump on EK metal, but no say in this booking.

You can disembark and use the lounge in DXB.

I'm also fling LHR-SYD on QF2 later in the year. Based on other peoples experiences, how much time in the lounge can I realistically expect to have after dissembarkation and then another boarding call, etc...?

Plenty of time to have a shower, freshen up and a bit of breakfast before stretching the legs on the way back to the plane. I was worried I'd be stuck on it for 2 hours. Very happy to hear this is not the case.

Everyone require disembark and if you quick enough you can visit lounge. It is about 2 hr stopover and at the best you can spend in lounge about 1 hr

You will have plenty of time provided thesecurity check point after dis-embarking is quick. DXB should be heading to the quieter side in the morning if I remember, so once through, head to the lounge (I have never been). You will be able to direct board from the lounge, so no lengthy queues.

I remember my wife and I waiting for what felt like an etirnity at the gate, then going into one queue to get ticket checked, then downstairs and into another queue for security bag search, then waiting to actually board, so hopefully you will be able to do everything you need and skip most of those.
