Ok... I'm arriving into LAX at 1115am off JetBlue, and I'm not leaving LAX until 2200 on QF12... What is there to do at airport ALL day? I can't check in until 4 hours before, is that right?
Um...not much! Really! I mean you could go and shop duty free in Tom Bradley International terminal, but honestly with 10 hours up your sleeve, why not go outside the airport? I would suggest asking the nearest 'sky-cap' where the closest lugguage lockers are, then grab transport to Manhattan Beech.....enjoy the true californian atmosphere, with plenty of cafe's and things to do, or then depending your your loose change, take a ride around Hollywood......the options are endless.
But if you are confined to the airport, you wont get get beyond security in TBIT without a boarding pass for QF12.....correct checking doesnt open until 4hr before.
Jet Blue don't have an interline baggage policy with Qantas cause you could have checked the bags through to sydney and then online checkin giving you a free day in LA
