Stayed at The Stamford Plaza on Sunday night and whilst nothing was specifically wrong with the hotel, transportation lets it down. Buses only every half an hour to both terminals and our bus to the International Terminal, went via the Domestic Terminal first. Rydges is by far the best bet if you are departing internationally; and if you don't want to eat in the hotel, there are all the outlets in the terminals.
This is what I don't 'get' about most airport hotels – if it takes longer to get to and from the hotel than it would to reach the city and stay in town, then why stay near the airport at all?
