I'm pretty sure it will be an a330 but I'm rather unsure.

A330 if your doing QF or JQ.

Incorrect - it's a 747. The current SYD-NRT service will just be flying SYD-HND instead. Whilst equipment changes may occur down the track, it's still a 747.

BNE-NRT will be an A330.

Sorry to hijack but a further question...

I'm booked in J on this same route in late December. For the more experienced traveller, would Japan be a priority for refurbished a330's as they are completed? Although the new product would be nice, I personally would like the 747?

I've been monitoring the upgrades when they return to service and it seems getting the Singapore routes and Melb > HKG all upgraded A333 are the priority. Surely the A330s servicing Tokyo can't be too far down the pecking order? Although it probably comes down to the competition on the route/s.

Same route? Being SYD - HND? If so it'll be a 747. Non-refurb 747's make semi-regular appearances on this route.
