I have booked 3 j award tickets ( all that was available) for myself, my wife and 1 child on ek. I was going to purchase the remaining j fare for my 6 year old as a little cheaper however noticed there is an f cabin. QFF cannot book my daughter ( who is 6 ) into F on a child fare and then my wife swop seats with her at the airport. Nor can they guarantee that if they cancel my j seat that it will immediately show on inventory to rebook for her. My question is should I book an adult award fare for my daughter in f and then plead ignorance at the airport? otherwise I can book a j fare for 3500 but I have the points.

Can they change name on the ticket? I would book F if I have points regardless if they change it or not. Most likely at stage of check-it they will not object swapping if you ask them politely. Good Luck.
