Quoting from flyertalk "Guy Betsy" - "You will find that if your flight should be delayed or have a very tight connection upon arrival, CX will assign a team of ground agents holding clipboards with your name on it. And they will rush you to the departing gate on a electric buggy. Your bags will make it too !"

If you do miss the connection you will also have some with you name at the gate and they will provide accomadation, meal vouchers and tickets for the flight on the next day

I am making the assumption that the flights are on the one ticket! - Also what cabin class are you flying in - cause be aware boarding begins ~30 mins before the flight and then closes ~10 mins before depature

All on one ticket and flying in Premium Economy HKG-SYD and Business PEK-HKG.

jet_setter,

Are the PEK/HKG and HKG/SYD sectors both on the same ticket?

This is the key question because if they're on separate tickets and you misconnect, you're stuffed.

Then you have nothing to worry about. CX will protect you on the next sector if your incoming flight is late i.e. Will put you on another flight free of charge.
