You can use Uber...

Not at the airport. Uber specialises in ad-hoc car services. You can't book in advance.

Actually that's not quite correct.
Uber Black/Lux/SUV - they can pick up from airport and go anywhere
Uber X - can't pick up from the airport.
Depending on the size of your family I'd also recommend Uber. I flew into Sydney Sunday night at 10pm and (a) trains were done, Qantas cab rank was massive (like 8am weekday massive), Virgin cab rank was better - Sydney cabs are beyond a joke.

I didn't say you can't use them at the airport, I said you can't book in advance. Which to me would be a pain.
Now let the late majority adopters break down the Uber product offering!

As markpk said... I have used them many times to be picked up at the airport. You order one when you land and they are waiting for you at arrivals.
I even just used them in London where I was picked up at Heathrow. It works and it's easy.

Try Blacklane. Had a good experience with them in Sydney last year.

Hey guys, I've used Towncars before and they are great. They usee Ford G6E's and they turn up on time and are reliable for all transfers i've had. My 2 cents worth :)

Train is good if you're travelling solo. Anywhere from two people or more a taxi is just as cost effective or even cheaper
