Does a program like altitude enable you to transfer from an airline, then to another airline?

I doubt it's possible but if it is, someone on here will know and probably have done it before.

Can't be done, unfortunately. The only exception would be to transfer Altitude points to KrisFlyer or Velocity and then swap them between programs, but that doesn't work between Velocity and Qantas, and also brings less value than transferring directly from Altitude to the program through which you redeem them.

Your only option would really be to transfer your points to a hotel program (such as Hilton HHonors) and then transfer those points to the other airline, but you'd lose almost all of your points in the transfer process.

So, you'd be much better off to simply redeem the points you have and then continue to earn all new points, wherever possible, in the account of your airline of choice.

If you have a family/friend in the same situation you could do a 2 way points switcheroo.  ie: you get his qantas points and they get your VA points

Is there anyway of transfering them through AirBerlin which is both a Virgin and Oneworld partner?
