VA lounge access - As a Velocity Platinum member, I have been let into the Adelaide lounge a few times when my partner was flying, but I myself wasn't. Of note, my partner wasn't flying Business and has no status with Velocity. The person at the counter said so long as I was with someone flying that day (either departing or arriving), both of us could access the lounge on my Platinum membership. Just curious about this privilege because it's not mentioned in the lounge access terms/conditions. Is this access privilege uniformly applied at other VA lounges across the country, or a discretionary perk determined on a case by case basis (Ie. how full the lounge is, gold vs platinum, etc.)? Thanks.

It's interesting in their T&Cs they actually make specific mention of the reverse scenario.
d) Each Member and Velocity Gold Member may invite one Guest, and two children aged 2 – 12 years inclusive to accompany the Member to the lounge at no charge. Each Velocity Platinum Member may invite three Guests, and two children aged 2 – 12 years inclusive to accompany the Member to the lounge at no additional charge. Additional Guests (adults and children over 2 years) over a Member’s complimentary allowance will be charged the Guest Entry Fee. Guests must be accompanied by a Member at all times while in the lounge, but need not be travelling.
I suspect it'll likely be on the discretion of the person on the day to be honest, but I don't have personal experience with this.
