I am trying to decide whether to book my myself and my grandmother on a return flight flying business class via Delta or Qantas. The price difference is $3000 per ticket for the same dates. Is the price difference worth it to fly Qantas instead? Or will Delta business be suitable?

Unless the points and status credits are worth that much to you, Delta Business is probably your better bet.

For an extra 3 grand I would go Delta, unless you wanted to be seated next to each other so you could talk throughout the trip. Go for Qantas

Qantas probably has better service, meals, lounges etc. but like you said for 3 grand extra it probably isn't worth it unless the points and status credits matter to you

I have not flown really bad business yet, though I never flown with dirt-cheap companies at all. For me 3K PER SEAT is lots of money (almost enough for J with AY to Europe) and I have to be very keen about status and points to choose more expensive option.
