Hi there. I am planning to take a flight from MEL to HK later this year. We will be taking economy class as the others are out of our price range. Which airline as a more comfortable seat as I have a lower back problem? Thank you for your suggestions.
There is like $2 difference on the flights. However, I have read online if I were to choose the seat while booking the flights with Qantas, it's an extra $25. Not sure if thats per booking or per flight.
Depends How much your willing to spend for a seat. If there is not much difference i would definetely go Qantas but Cathay Pacific is very reliable with comfortable seats. For example a Qantas flight to HK the staff on the plane are quite frendly and will help yur back with extra pllows etc. which personally is better for myself although i'm not you. Both airlines should be relatively similar prices.

I'd fly Qantas or Cathay Pacific myself. I find both seats in economy fine.

Go CX and if you play up the problem at check in they might upgrade. This has worked for me.

Go Qantas, probably not as much legroom but wider seats and I found the staff a bit friendlier (on my two flights)
Is there much difference in price?
If there is go for the cheaper option they are both relitavely the same

I find Cathay a far supperior airline however the hard shell of their seats in economy isn't as comfortable as Qantas A330.
