I'm looking to take Me and a family of 2 adults and six kids from Sydney to Hawaii in economy. Just wondering were I can find the cheapest deals.

Not always the cheapest, but I always prefer to go to the airline direct.  If something were to happen, or if you need a name/date change, then its worth saving a few $tens and cut out the middle man.

I always search on hipmunk and book with the airline. 

Also, geez, six kids! It's not a clown car, lady!

Like those tour adverts...book now and you fly free. AHHHH! No-one flies free.  Is it still free if you miss the flight?

If you are not flying during school holidays, visit the Jetstar website everyday and wait for a sale to come up.

Hawaiian or Jetstar will most likely be your best options then. I agree with Hugo and Chris_PER do your research and then book direct with the airline. With the increased capacity and competition across the pacific there are likely to be deals to be had if you shop around. In the end it will depend on how flexible you can be. 

Harry, is it you plus 4 kids and 2 adults? Or are you one of the Adults? Or one of the kids? I think I may know a way for you to get a good deal...
