No chance, perhaps if you have a significant amount of bookings in the next 3 months would be the only way

I think you'll have 2 chances - nine and buckleys. I was trying to requalify as platinum and fell 100 sc short due to a stuff up with a promotion. Best I got was a soft landing to gold.

Unlucky, there is small chance of you getting to platinum.

As doubleplatinum says, if you have sufficient bookings in the next little while, you may be a chance. I understand their leeway is <30 days. So if you've got 100SCs worth if bookings in the next month, make a call.
That said, I know quite a few people with honarary gold and they don't fly often. One in particular has a recurring honary gold, regardless of amount of flying. So the rules are definitely plyable.

Last year I accumulated 1400 status credits but had only flown six sectors with VA. Even though I had been Plat for 3 years running, I was still downgraded to gold. So, as everyone else has already said, I think you have - unfortuantely - no chance.

That's poor form by Virgin. Did you challenge it?

Why is it poor form by enforcing the rules of the program?

If you are Velocity Gold, then an upgrade to Platinum is based on a rolling 12-mth calendar -- so you just need to keep on flying, and hope old flights don't roll off
