SYD-TLV (Israel) does anyone know the best priced business class fare routing? Heading over next winter and hunting for a bargain. Thanks.

Would imagine the best fares would be with the likes of Royal Jordanian via S.E. Asia/Amman and Turkish via S.E. Asia/Istanbul. My choice though would be to fly with Korean! Flew to TLV with them (in economy class) a couple of years ago – a brilliant airline, with wonderful cabin crew. Plus our fare included a great overnight in Seoul - with transfers included to our airport hotel and all meals included!!

For the most part, there aren't any magical formulae which will give you a better result than matrix.itasoftware.com
Cheapest I found on random dates was about $5500 on Qantas and Royal Jordanian. All other options were over $7K.

Depending on if you want to collect FF mileage/airline SC with either OW or *A, the choices are either EK with a QF flight number, at least up to DXB, then EK code to TLV where you earn QF FF only, or SQ via SIN. With SQ you are able to earn KF miles then transfer them to VA (free to join). Or collect QF FF mileage if you have that already.
Not cheap, but if you are going to be paying full J fares, you might as well earn FF mileage from it.
If you fly RJ you will earn fewer QF FF points, after Jul 14, points earn and SC with OW partners if you are QF FF member has dropped quite a lot. Less in J of course.
To sum up, collect the mileage with airlines in Australia, if you are going to be paying full or even at the least disc J fares.
