Priority Pass Hack FYI
Not sure if anyone else has figured out this, but with most of the banks 'black' credit cards, you can normally opt in either a QF points scheme or the banks own rewards program.
I have figured that despite for opting for the QF option with the Westpac Altitude Black, which offers QF lounge access etc etc... If by going to the altitudeblack.com or prioritypass.com/axwestpacblack you can also achieve your free priority pass membership plus 2 passes... Just enter your details and boom, double dipping :)
I would assume the same goes for Commbank, ANZ etc

Good for people who earn a ton and also fly from an Australian international airport that PP has a lounge in/at.
VA no longer accepts it, and don't think QF would either.
Emperors in AKL might.

I find the value proposition of the black cards interesting.
Given the high annual income threshold coupled with the duopoly status of our national airlines, it seems the profile of an average black card holder would already be one who has attained elite status with QF/VS or at least QC or the VA equivalent. Seems this black card benefit is somewhat redundant.

TRB, have you considered that someone with a black card accumulates so many FF points that that most of their travel is via redemption/award bookings? In this instance, no SC's are earned and therefore they have no status. Just saying.

I'm talking about the average profile based on probability. I'm not talking about those at the tail end of the distribution curve.

Just a neat little option, I've used it a few times at PPass lounges in LAS, LAX, CDG, SIN, HKG etc.... When I've been travelling on non major airlines, with whom don't have lounge affiliation. I don't always fly on the majors and it definitely beats sitting in the food court of the departures hall ;)
Priority pass in Aus are only in MEL and CNS as far as I am aware...
