Do not be that negative! As least you flying with family and presumably going holiday. Now think about crew.

I don't think he/she was being negative. It's a fair question to ask. The crew are not in bonded servitude. They've entered into employment willingly and with full knowledge of the implications of working over traditional holidays. They presumably have assessed the remunerations and benefits earned outweigh any loss of traditionally defined social/family time.

To suggest that one is negative when querying about flying over these traditional holiday period and comparing one's circumstances against that of the crew is to deny the existence of a flexible, universally beneficial globalised economy.

Not sure why it's a negative question?? I've just never flown on Christmas day with Qantas before, so want to know my 'facts' before I "build it up" for my girls. So was wondering if they do anything nicer than normal? That's it. No agenda. If its just a 'normal' flight, I won't get my girls overly excited.

I've flown on christmas day a couple times, nothing noticable actually. Just a normal business day in the airline world I assume apart from "...Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year!.." at the end of the arrival P/A :)
